Dec. 14, 2006
It killed me this morning. I don't remember what I wrote. There were so many issues I wanted to write but I didn't have time. It was an open-book exam, while the "open-book" exam is usually designed so that you either don't have time to open your book or cannot find in the book anything that can help you answer the question. This exam is of the first type. There were many issues from the facts given in the question. I didn't manage my time well. I overspent the time for the first quesiton and thus in huge hurry in the second one. When it was only 10 minutes left, I still had one subquestion that I hadn't touched yet!
I felt bad because I was not given enough time to tell the professor all I knew about those questions. It looks like I'm evaluated by how fast I can write, rather than how much I know. And I think one would feel unfair if he/she flunked the exam merely because he/she was not a fast writer/typer.
Anyway, it's over. |
