Basic Requirements
To apply for a job as a regular member (police officer) of the RCMP, you must meet the following basic requirements:
- be a Canadian citizen
- be of good character
- be proficient in English or French
- have a Canadian secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent
- possess a valid, unrestricted Canadian driver’s license
- be 19 years of age at the time of engagement (may apply at 18 years of age
- meet medical/health standards
- be willing to relocate anywhere in Canada
- be physically fit
Salary and Benefits
Salary
When you successfully complete the Cadet Training Program and have been offered employment, you will be engaged (hired) as a regular member constable at an annual salary of $43,428. Normally, within 36 months of service, your salary will increase incrementally to $70,366 annually.
Benefits

Vacation:
- 0-5 years: 15 days
- 5-10 years: 20 days
- 10+ years: 25 days

- Leave without pay (1-5 years)
Pension Plan:
- 20 years service: retirement with penalty

有个朋友在多伦多刚在实习期(在多伦多当警察不必一定是公民)，4w多属于4th class，每年升一级，到1st class是7万多，当时他过了一共10关才通过。其实偶也心痒痒的，因为可以配枪每天带着，但LD说了得先离婚
