Simple words for love and pleasures
本帖最后由 tyhjh 于 2012-5-8 06:52 编辑喜欢一本小书,名叫'' a book of simple pleasures". 最近泡中文网有点多,小小反省一下后,决定尽量每天摘抄点好文好句好段,分享之余,既满足泡网的乐趣,又多少学点英语。
It is always the simple that produces the marvelous.-----Amelia Barr. Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "Life is a romantic business, but you have to make the romantic." It's a good point, really. Many of us remember our youth as the period when the world seemed most romantic, and that's probably because, when we lived withoutadult responsibilities,we simply had more hours and energy to devote to our relationship.
While we may never be as carefree as the younger versions of ourselves, this doesn't mean we have to sacrifice romantic. We just have to make time for each other. We're required to show up and do our best at our jobs on a regular basis, and our relationships deserve the same. It's our wealthy of family and friends that matters most after all. Victor Hugo:
"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved."
Lady Margerite Blessingtong:
"Friends are the thermometer by which we may judge the temperture of our fortunes."
Anonymous:
"Families are like fudge---mostly sweet with a few nuts." Mark Twain:
" To get value of a joy, you must have somebody to divide it with."
Emily Dickinson:
"My only sketch, profile, of heaven is a large blue sky, and larger than the biggest I have seen in June — and in it are my friends — every of them."
Elbert Hubbard:
"Friend: One who knows all about you and loves you just the same." Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature."
Epicurus:
"Of all the things which wisdom provides to make life entirely happy, much the greatest is the possession of friendship."
Herman Melville:
"We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men."
